About Dr Sean Heywood

Sean Heywood is a Canberra-born urologist with a focus on patient care and modern surgical techniques.

Meet Sean

After finishing school in Canberra, Dr Heywood completed a Bachelor of Science from the ANU followed by a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2012. He spent his early medical career as a Junior Doctor in Canberra, before undertaking specialist training in urology at Port Macquarie, John Hunter, Westmead, Blacktown, and Nepean Hospitals.

During that time Dr Heywood was able to complete a Certificate of Training Equivalency as a Fellow on the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, a Master of Surgery (USyd), and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Anatomy by Dissection (UNE).

On completion of specialist training, he has returned home to Canberra to commence work as urological surgeon.
